Eligible participants will be compensated up to $40 for their time. AFFIRM is a research project of Columbia University Medical Center, San Francisco State University, and the University of Georgia.

Lost N Found Youth is “Atlanta’s only nonprofit organization dedicated to getting homeless lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth off the street and on the road to self-sufficiency.

Charis Circle – a nonprofit through the feminist bookstore Charis Books and More, this organization offers weekly support groups, yoga, book readings, and other queer friendly activities.

Positive Impact Health Centers:  “Client centered care for the HIV community to have a life worth loving.”

Comprehensive services are available at the Duluth and Midtown Atlanta centers for those affected by HIV.  Grant funding enables most services to be provided on a sliding fee basis.

Substance Abuse and Recovery

HAMS is a peer-led and free-of-charge support and informational group for anyone who wants to change their drinking habits for the better. The acronym HAMS stands for Harm reductionAbstinence, and Moderation Support.

Positive Impact Health Centers Also offers an intensive outpatient recovery program as well as a range of psychiatric services for low income clients struggling with substance abuse.
